Schoool Games 2025

The School Games – these are action-packed competitions for students with disabilities.

This year the event is taking place for the second time in the Sportpark Hall.

Join in!

Medals are fought for in the sports of boccia, football, table tennis and showdown. It’s all about having fun with exercise and competition.

The children are very committed, skilled and ambitious and train for the competitions in advance. The aim of the School Games: to inspire children from fifth to ninth grade to take up sport and to hold fair competitions with like-minded people.

At the WIN tournaments, Austria’s young players compete four times per sporting year for places for the TOP events of the coming sporting year. At the start of the calendar year, the male groups will be held in Klagenfurt and the female groups in Kuchl.

Traffic and parking concept

  • The spectator should plan enough buffer time, as a high volume of traffic is to be expected!
  • It is recommended to use the Klagenfurt WEST exit (coming from Graz on the A2), as direct access to the parking spaces is possible.

 

Parking spaces

 

  • The following parking spaces are available: parking lot at the motorway exit, parking lot Minimundus, Park&Ride Minimundus – these parking spaces are served by a shuttle service.
  • parking lot at the lido – no shuttle service, walk to Minimundus approx. 5 minutes
  • Signs direct spectators to the nearest free parking spaces. Stewards are also available.
  • Parking spaces directly at the stadium can only be used with an authorization card. This must be presented when entering. EXCEPTION: Coaches will be directed directly to the P1 car park even without an authorization card.
  • The shuttle bus stops at 10 entry points and takes you comfortably and quickly to the stadium 
  • The Südring is a one-way street from west to east. Parking on the side lane (also Glanfurtgasse and Leopold-Figl-Gasse) or on the north lane is generally not permitted.
  • You should avoid driving to the stadium unless you have a parking permit.
  • In general, we recommend arriving via the shuttle bus service busfinder from the respective regions of Austria. All information about this can be found here!
  • It is also possible to travel to Klagenfurt and back again via busfinder on an accessible bus – all information about this can be found here!

Public transport & bicycle

 

  • Train to Klagenfurt-Lend – approx. 20 minutes walk to the entrance
  • Bicycle parking spaces:

     Directly at the stadium

 

Departure

 

  • Car: Take the shuttle bus at the “Stadion” station, which will take you to your parking spaces. Follow the signs
  • Train: Klagenfurt-Lend train station is nearby and has many connections to the surrounding cities

Big Air Klagenfurt – FIS Freeski & Snowboard World Cup 2025

From January 4th to 5th, 2025, the Wörthersee Stadium will be transformed into the most spectacular winter arena in the Alps. The Wörthersee Stadium will become a freestyle hotspot for the best skiers and snowboarders in the world. The highest point of the launch ramp is 45m high, making it 15m higher than the stadium roof. There has never been such an attraction in a football stadium.

After the sporting competitions, visitors will be treated to an after-show party with international music acts! There will be plenty of pyrotechnics, flame jets and a breathtaking light show.
