European League of Football Championship Game

As a professional football league in Europe, the European League of Football has set itself the goal of putting the sport on broad shoulders in the media. With its franchises, the league has found strong partners who share the same passion and vision. The event character and the wonderful atmosphere in front of up to 9000 spectators in the regular season can be wonderfully realized in football.

The European League of Football started the 2022 season with twelve franchises, the field from the past season will be supplemented by Rhein Fire, the Vienna Vikings, the Raiders Tirol and the Istanbul Rams. At the beginning of June 2022, twelve teams from five nations started with the goal of Klagenfurt (Austria). The Championship Game will be played in the Wörthersee Stadium on September 25th. In front of a breathtaking alpine backdrop, the best teams in Europe will show their skills and celebrate a huge football party with their fans. Be there!

Three newcomers for the coming season from Zurich, Milan and Hungary have already been confirmed.

With the four current additions, the European League of Football has also been expanded to include a conference. In the north, last year’s finalists Hamburg Sea Devils, Berlin Thunder, the Leipzig Kings and the Panthers Wroclaw meet. In the Central Conference, the Raiders Tirol, the Vienna Vikings, Stuttgart Surge and the reigning champion Frankfurt Galaxy will face each other. The south is formed by the Barcelona Dragons, the Istanbul Rams, Rhein Fire and the Cologne Centurions.

Last year’s championship game of the European League of Football on September 26, 2021 in Düsseldorf’s MERKUR SPIEL-Arena was watched by over half a million people on German free TV on Pro7Maxx (net coverage) and over 20,000 viewers live on site. So far this season, Rhein Fire’s game against the Istanbul Rams (42-12) of Turkey achieved a peak market share of 5.6 percent early in the season and 400,000 peak viewers. This league arrives!
